Based on the original and revolutionary Sting, the new Sting II OEM is packed with features never seen before in a miniature digital video recorder and represents a real breakthrough in this field.

The new features include extensive wired communication to the Internet, direct connectivity to any media (including monitor/television), built-in motion detector, file encryption, time lapse recording mode, time/date stamp, watermark, USB connector to external hard drives, and much more.

Including internal Lithium Ion battery, this unit can be used in multiple applications & countless scenarios requiring miniature high-quality video & audio recording.

Featuring MPEG2 compression, the Sting II boasts full screen DVD image quality @ 30 FPS and approximately 1 hour of recording time with the micro drive supplied or approximately 1.5 hours using the compact flash (sold separately). This recording time takes into consideration the power requirements of our video cameras.

To allow smooth operation, anytime, anywhere, the Sting II connects to several accessories:

• Composite video input with support for PAL and NTSC
• Video output, which can be switched between live monitor view and recorded playback
• Media files can also be viewed on a PC - using any standard Window Media Players
• MPEG-2 video compression in full D1 format and compression, supporting up to 8 mbit/sec video bit rate
• Water mark: Media files have an embedded signature to verify that no tampering has occurred
• Encryption: An option exists for media files to be encrypted with a user-generated software key. These files are viewable onboard with a password, or with a PC player after decryption
